About Us

Kirsty is co-owner of the business and oversees the office which is the first port of call for enquiries. She also gives administrative support to the contracting and consultancy departments.

Kirsty loves crafts and dabbles in crochet, knitting and simple sewing projects. She enjoys the company of friends and a pub lunch.

Caroline looks after our accounts department, so if you have any invoice queries Caroline should be able to help you.

When not at work, Caroline likes to spend time with friends and loves music, concerts, and travel.

Jo, has been with TM since 2016, having returned from living in Saudi Arabia the previous year. An ex Civil Servant with an unhealthy obsession with having a clean and tidy office!

When not organising the paperclips and the consultants, she can be found avoiding all domestic duties and having her midlife crisis in her garden, willing her beans to grow and waging war on perennial weeds and slugs….

Jo will be your first point of contact to arrange a visit to quote for work, acceptances of quotes and top tips for an organised desk drawer.

Sarah is part of our admin team and has been with TM since the summer of 2023 after working in law firms in London for many years. Originally from north Wiltshire she is now happily living back in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

When not in the office Sarah’s passion is working in her cottage garden full of seasonal flowers and shrubs (with a particular passion for tulips, dahlias and a variety of cut flowers) together with an unruly vegetable and fruit plot.

When not tending her own garden Sarah loves nothing better than a good snoop around other people’s and enjoys National Garden Scheme and RHS gardens.

Steve co owns the business and is our Managing Director and longest standing team member has been working at Tree Maintenance since 1985 (he was a mere lad when he joined). He likes to escape the office as often as he can, and spend time on site, hands on with the teams and meeting our customers.

Outside of work Steve enjoys the outdoor life, either clocking up miles on long distance cycle rides, exploring off road routes on his mountain bike or taking to the water, coastal sailing in his home built sailing canoe.

Nick has been with TM since joining them in 1985 on a government YTS. He has worked his way up through the profession gaining experience and additional qualifications along the way. Nick now splits his time between managing the consultancy side of the business, pricing work, and helping wherever he can with the general running of TM.

When not at work, he likes to spend time with his wife in their garden and allotment, walking and Mountain biking. He also likes to hide in his workshop to do some wood turning.

Ken is the Company’s senior consult with over 35 years’ experience in the industry including contracting, local Authority rolls and 17 years as a consultant. He joined Tree Maintenance in 2010. Working from our Cardiff office, Ken is engaged by clients across the country in wide range development and tree management projects.

He is a youth leader and keen outdoor enthusiast often found walking, mountain biking and cycle touring or canoe sailing in the Bristol Channel.

Martin has been at TM since 2000, and part of the consultancy team since 2007. Martin started his arboricultural career in 1989 and spent most of the 90’s working as an Arborist in Berlin. Martin is one of most experienced arborists and still likes to spend a few days a week ‘on the tools’, where he can pass on his vast amount of knowledge to the newer staff.

When not at work you will often find Martin at the stables with his wife looking after their horses.

Matt is one our lead foremen and has recently gained his ISA Certified Arborist qualification. Matt is a stickler for detail and like to ensure all jobs are completed to the highest standards. Matt also helps out with pricing works and has site visits booked for him by Jo, so Matt might be the first person you see from TM, when he visits to look at your trees.

When not at work, his 2 young daughters keep him busy, and if he can get some spare time, he like to keep fit Mountain biking and relaxing by going fishing.

Matt is one of our team leaders and is currently studying for the RFS Certificate in Arboriculture.

When not at work Matt is renovating his house and garden and to relax likes to mix and produce House music.

Jon has been working at Tree Maintenance for more than 20 years. He is our contracts manager, so will usually be the one calling you to arrange you tree works. He also is responsible for inspecting our tree climbing equipment to ensure it is safe to use.

When not at work Jon likes to go fishing and spend time with his granddaughter.

Archie is a second climber, supporting the main climbers, as well as undertaking various arboricultural task as a keen member of the team.

When not at work Archie likes to play football and relax fishing.

Jacob is a dedicated groundsman and supports the rest of the team in all aspects of tree work. When not at work Jacob likes to go on long walks (with or without his dog), ride his bike and relax fishing.
